Abstract
There are two main groups of acoustic dedicated products: movable panels and fixed elements (wall coverings, furniture, etc.). The typically textiles intended for this kind construction are flat fabrics and fabrics with relief. Within the framework of the work carried out, flat and relief fabrics were made, as well as jacquard wall fabrics varied in terms of raw materials and their structure. The physical parameters such thickness, surface mass, porosity and air permeability as well as acoustic properties (sound absorption coefficient) were tested. The results showed, that the values of the sound absorption coefficient depend on fabrics structure in the full frequency range. The fabrics texture also significantly shapes the acoustic properties.
