Local chemical origin of ferroelectric behavior in wurtzite nitrides

Abstract
Combinatorial Al 1− x Sc x N library decouples composition, crystal structure, and ferroelectric properties. The local chemical bonding is the key factor to control ferroelectric properties rather than extended crystal structure.
