Abstract

The main aspects of ghost polarimetry (GP), a new promising direction in ghost optics that recently is being developed by our group, are discussed. In modern terminology, GP is an intelligent optical imaging system belonging to the class of artificial intelligence systems. The principles of the theory of GP in both classical and quantum light are considered. The methods and schemes of experimental implementation of GP are discussed. The instrument base, which was created in our laboratory for implementing GP in quantum light, includes counters of single photons, a time-to-digital converter, correlated photon sources and a quantum tomograph, is described.
