Abstract
The development of existing electric power systems, particularly due to the aging, over load, policies reformation and susceptibility. All times power systems expected to be more secure, reliable and efficient. The recent problems in the transmission and distribution system are renewable energy integration and smartness. In the 21st century, many countries, power utilities and research groups take initiatives to build the intelligent grid system based on the various optimization tools. It is called as smart grid optimization. The characteristic of smart grid is highly secure, self-sufficient, smart metering systems, automation and RES integration. This paper provides the recent technology developments of smart grid optimization tools and its functionality in the different scenarios. The primary objective of this article is to discuss the several optimization techniques applied in smart grid operation and control. To mitigate the problems in the prosperous development of smart grid, this paper gives the brief idea to achieve better control and operation of smart grid. In this research paper definitely is very useful to beginning research peoples working in the smart grid optimization. And also focuses on on-going research projects and its measurable outcomes.
