Application Research of HTS Linear Motor Based on Halbach Array in High Speed Maglev System

Abstract
For the application of the high speed maglev system, a high temperature superconducting linear synchronous motor (HTSLSM) structure based on the Halbach array and high temperature superconducting tape is proposed. The 2D finite element model of the HTSLSM is established. The magnetic field distribution characteristics of HTSLSMs with Halbach structure magnets and those with alternative structure magnets are compared and analyzed respectively. Then, the thrust and normal force characteristics of the HTSLSM are studied. The influence of the mover coil length and air gaps on the performance of the HTSLSM with Halbach structure magnets is also elaborated.
