Abstract

Segmentation and classification methods are very important in identifying brain diseases. It has been observed that brain tumor is the major remediable tumor. As we know that Brain tumor recognition is tedious and exorbitant work and if it is not identified on time, it can be converted into a hazardous situation. There is foremost requirement to build efficacious and favorable procedure for brain tumor segmentation as well as classification. MRI (magnetic resonance images) is considered here because it is non-invasive, safe and cost effective. That is why in imaging of the brain, it is widely used and considered. To tackle the brain tumor and to recognize its stages, experiments and researches are still going on. Through this study a structured and well mannered review of the methods of brain tumor segmentation and classification is presented. Tumor recognition through CAD is shown in this paper because manual detection is very difficult.
