Abstract
A series of pentagonal-bipyramidal Dy( iii ) complexes with the S-containing macrocyclic ligand PYNS were isolated. Their zero-field SMM behaviour and the existing S atoms make their fabrication into electronic devices possible via Au–S bondings.
