Multiservice Networks Performance Monitoring System Approach and its Experimental Implementation

Abstract
In this paper we discuss multiservice networks which now widely distributed among communication networks. The urgent task is ensuring the quality of services in such networks. So an effective monitoring system for multiservice communication networks is need. Monitoring and supervision system for multiservice networks is necessary to control and achieve quality indicators of such a network. We discuss both a set of basic indicators for packet transport networks and a complex criterion for the quality of traffic transmission. We overview of VECTOR software and hardware system for high-precision measurements of indicators, monitoring of these indicators in relation to the standard values of these indicators, as well as the implementation of quality assessment according to the complex criterion. Measurements of the main parameters of technical means and communication networks were carried out, as well as assessments of a complex indicator of the quality of traffic transmission in multiservice networks.
