Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive review of recent advances in wireless communication and networking and discusses the future directions in this field. The authors highlight the key challenges faced by wireless networks, including interference, security, and energy efficiency, and present the latest solutions to address these challenges. They also discuss the emerging wireless technologies such as 5G, millimeter-wave communication, and the Internet of Things (IoT) and their potential applications. Article reviews the various wireless networking technologies such as adhoc networks, cellular networks, and wireless sensor networks, and provides insights into their strengths and weaknesses. The authors also discuss the importance of network virtualization, software-defined networking (SDN), and network function virtualization (NFV) in the design of future wireless networks.
