Piezoelectric energy harvesting of a bismuth halide perovskite stabilised by chiral ammonium cations

Abstract
A chiral Bi( iii ) 1D-perovskite {[ s CH(MePh)(Me)NH 3 ][BiBr 5 ]} n was synthesized and shown to exhibit piezoelectric polarization. Flexible polymer composites of it were prepared and utilized for the fabrication of nanogenerator devices.
