Abstract
As of late July 2020, COVID-19 has been creating havoc for more than seven months and has infected more than 16 million people and almost 650K fatalities. The IMF has predicted that the global economy will shrink by almost 3 percent in 2020. Over the past few years with the increase of available data and drastically more compute power, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been helping and improving in all fields. The current COVID-19 pandemic poses a number of challenges. Researchers and scientists are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to combat those problems that previously weren’t possible using traditional technology and manpower. This paper presents an overview on a number of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in various fields. We touch on fields ranging from tracking, prediction, diagnosis, natural language processing and cure.
