Abstract

The efficient formation of <italic>tert</italic>-butyl <italic>N</italic>-chloro-<italic>N</italic>-sodio-carbamate by the reaction of simple <italic>tert</italic>-butyl carbamate with sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate would be a practical and green method for the aziridination of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds.
