Abstract
Currently, we are facing a global crisis of antibiotic resistance, and novel alternative approaches are urgently needed to curb L. monocytogenes infection. Our study demonstrated that kaempferol alleviated L. monocytogenes infection via suppressing LLO pore formation and inflammation response, which might represent a novel antimicrobial-independent strategy to curb listeriosis.
