Abstract
The article discusses the issues of energy efficiency of energy-intensive industries and technologies using the example of electrothermal processes (high-temperature technologies), smelting and high-temperature heating and electric welding production. Recommendations for efficient use of electricity are provided for all industries. A list of improvements in electric welding technology and electric furnaces is also given. The advantages and disadvantages of energy-intensive industries and technologies are also given.
