Abstract
Presently, the researchers are focusing on the high gain DC-DC converters. The high gain can be achieved by one of the topology disscused in this paper as a modified hybrid switched inductor and switched capacitor (mHSI–SC). In the conventional hybrid switched inductor and switched capacitor (HSI-SC) three diodes, two inductors, two capacitors and one high rating switch is used to form the converter. In the proposed converter it will reduce the voltage stress across the operating switches by replacing one diode into an active switch. Therefore, the proposed converter will have same number of components with extra switch. The proposed converter will have a low rating switches which forms the mHSI–SC. The continuous conduction mode operation of the converter is analyzed. The PI controller is employed for the mHSI–SC converter and it is examined in the MATLAB- simulink.
