Energy-Efficiency Theory, Volume I: The Operating Mechanism of the Universe

Abstract
Abstract This first volume of Energy-Efficiency Theory establishes the ontological foundation for a unified framework that traces the operation of the universe from energy to matter, field, life, and agency. Based on three irreducible axioms—energy as the sole ontology, existence as the result of energy maintenance, and the natural tendency of energy to diffuse from constrained to free states—the book demonstrates that all existences are specific forms of energy under constraints. It introduces the universal grammar of system operation: the Energy-Efficiency Cycle (disturbance → response energy → maintenance energy → constraint → transition). From this grammar, the book derives the concepts of matter (constrained energy), field (continuous energy distribution), steady state (order maintained by energy payment), chemistry (energy transformation at the molecular level), space-time (the unfolding of relationships and change), mass-energy equivalence, the emergence of life, and the origin of agency. The volume lays the groundwork for understanding cognition, subjectivity, and social structures in subsequent volumes, offering a unified scientific and philosophical program that bridges the natural sciences, cognitive science, and the humanities.
