<i>gem</i>‐Difluorocyclopropanation of Alkenyl Trifluoroborates with the CF<sub>3</sub>SiMe<sub>3</sub>–NaI System

Abstract

Difluorocyclopropanation of alkenyl trifluoroborates using TMSCF 3 –NaI system was reported for the first time. The developed method allowed preparation of monocyclic, spiro‐ and fused‐bicyclic gem ‐difluorocyclopropanes bearing additional functional groups. The preparation of potassium (2,2‐difluorocyclopropyl)trifluoroborates was achieved in up to 90 % yield on a multigram scale.
