Portugal: fighting CoViD-19 in the edge of Europe
Vera Lúcia Raposo
Abstract
The key – or one of the keys - for the Portuguese (moderate) success was the timely declaration of the state of emergency, done in a moment in which the country was not yet in a real public health crisis. Curiously, social distancing and even confinement was effected by the community (some schools and companies) even before the government realized how serious was the ongoing health crisis.
