Miles Kiernan, Nikolaos Koutroumanos
Abstract
A 28-year-old woman presented with redness, irritation, and discharge in the right eye. Two weeks before symptom onset, her pet cat had developed lesions on the paws. PCR tests of swabs from the cat’s lesions and the patient’s conjunctiva were performed, and a diagnosis of cowpox was made.
