Abstract
This paper aims to loosen the entanglement requirements of quantum illumination and determine suitable regimes for its use. The authors show that entanglement is not strictly necessary to achieve a quantum advantage and, using the radar equation, study the effect of usual parameters on performance while exploring the potential applications of this type of quantum radar.
