Single cobalt atom catalysis for the construction of quinazolines and quinazolinones <i>via</i> the aerobic dehydrocyclization of ethanol

Abstract
A Co-SAC with oxidase-like active sites (CoN 4 ) has been fabricated for the construction of quinazolines and quinazolinones using ethanol as the C 2 -synthon. Kinetic studies suggest that the dehydrogenation of ethanol is the RDS for the reaction.
