Abstract
Free Space Optics in combination with a high-frequency RF line provides almost 100% availability. The most important is the indicator of the strength of the received (RSSI) signal. This is the main parameter in the hard switching method of a hybrid FSO/RF system. If we want to predict the correct RSSI value with the best possible accuracy, it is necessary to choose the right type of machine learning algorithm to predict it. In this case, it is a Decision Tree Regression method using Ada Boost Regressor.
