Barium and titanium dithiocarbamates as precursors for colloidal nanocrystals of emerging optoelectronic materials

Abstract
A series of barium dialkyldithiocarbamate complexes is synthesized. In combination with a titanium( iv ) dithiocarbamate complex, these compounds decompose at elevated temperatures in oleylamine solution to give rise to colloidal BaTiS 3 nanorods.
