Abstract

A simple indium halide with an ammonium salt catalyst can catalyze effectively the cycloaddition of epoxide and dilute CO<sub>2</sub>. A detailed mechanistic investigation is conducted using kinetics, isotope labeling, and <italic>in situ</italic> NMR and IR experiments.
