Improvement of the chemical and physical gas adsorption ability of poly(3-hexylthiophene) thin films by ultraviolet-ozone exposure

Abstract
This study shows that UV-ozone treatment improves the gas-sensing performance of P3HT films. Treated sensors display high NO 2 sensitivity and selectivity with a 21.5 ppb detection limit. The treatment causes oxidation and chain scission in P3HT.
