Abstract

A novel fluoroberyllate KSb(BeF 3 )F 3 featuring unique [BeF 3 ] ∞ − polyanion chains was successfully developed via a totally fluorine strategy, which endows it with a wide bandgap (5.3 eV) and large birefringence (0.11@546 nm).
