Abstract
Cytospora chrysosperma causes canker diseases on woody plants, and the molecular basis of its infection is not well understood. This study shows that CcRlm1 is the major regulator of chitin synthesis and virulence of the poplar canker fungus. Our research contributes to further understanding the molecular basis of the interaction between C. chrysosperma and poplar.
