Abstract

Abstract We suggest an optomechanical system to study the manipulation of the Goos-Hänchen shift (GHS) in the reflected light. Our proposed model consists of a cavity with two plates of mirrors where one is movable(reflecting) while the other is fixed (partially reflecting). An external plate of dielectric is attached for the generation of Casimir force in the system. A Casimir force can affect the output probe field (OPF) that leads to the manipulation of optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) ( Sci. Rep. 6 , 27 102 (2016)). Remarkably, we explore the magnitude enhancement of the GHS in the presence of Casimir force in the system. Our theoretical model can provide the possibility in the real experiment and can study the magnitude enhancement of the GHS in the reflected light.
