Microwave-assisted synthesis of ZIF-9@<i>x</i>GO composites as cooperative electrocatalysts for electro-oxidation of benzyl alcohols coupled with H<sub>2</sub> production

Abstract
We report microwave assisted rapid synthesis of ZIF-9 nanocrystals. ZIF-9@ x GO composites displayed selective electrocatalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohols (benzoic acid yield 84%, faradaic efficiency 88%) together with high H 2 production (273 mmol g −1 h −1 ).
