Light-induced control of magnetic phases in Kitaev quantum magnets

Abstract
A driving $\ensuremath{\alpha}$-RuCl${}_{3}$ with a circularly polarized light field is used to coherently manipulate the magnetic phase of the material and steer it toward a Kitaev quantum spin liquid.
