Abstract

In article number 2008318, Fei Xiao, Jong Wook Bae, Shuai Wang, and co-workers discuss the synthesis strategies, catalytic applications, and performance regulation of single-atom catalysts (SACs). The catalytic mechanisms and the structure–property relationships of SACs in typical single-atom catalysis processes such as electrochemistry, photochemistry, organic synthesis, and biomedicine are also summarized. The challenges and prospects for the development of SACs and single-atom catalysis are proposed as well.
