Abstract

An electric instrument known as an energy metre can be used to measure energy use. The cost and frequency of power use are communicated to the consumer in order to avoid large bill utilization. The energy metre displays the number of units utilized and transmits the data to both the client and the electrical board, which aids in the reduction of man-power. The user may monitor their power use from any location and at any time. In this project, we will build our own IoT-based electricity energy metre with the ESP32 and monitor data using the Blynk App. With today's technology, you must go to the metre reading room and take readings. Thus, keeping track of and monitoring your power use is a time-consuming chore. We can utilise the Internet of Things to automate this. By automating distant data collecting, the Internet of Things eliminates the expense. We must choose a current sensor and a voltage sensor so that the voltage and current can be monitored and we can learn about the electricity utilization and overall power utilized.
