Abstract

This paper studies the solar PV-integrated electric vehicle power system control. The evoked problem is the influence of the city obstacles shading on the control efficiency. The specific profile of this phenomenon is compared to the well-known cloud shading profile. Indeed, the city obstacles shading is characterized by a multitude of steps which include a several transients in the voltage photovoltaic panel output. An adaptive incremental conductance algorithm is proposed to overcome this problem. It permits to reduce the algorithm step-size during moving under shading areas in order to ensure high tracking performance. The study is supported by simulation results.
