Abstract

Black ZrO 2− x is coated onto a Ni-rich cathode via solvent-free shearing, enhancing charge transfer, reducing gas evolution, and preventing cracking. It lowers Li-ion transfer barriers and mitigates oxygen release through strong Zr–O hybridization.
