BeefAI™ Champion — Carbon Architecture: A Three-Layer Framework for Carbon Decision Support in Angus Beef Production
Joe KOVACEK
Abstract
This paper presents the BeefAI™ Carbon Architecture — a three-layer framework for carbon decision support in Australian Angus beef production. The framework separates carbon measurement into three independent, auditable layers: Layer 1 (Genetics Carbon) uses EBV data from TACE to compute MEI proxy, CER, and Net-Zero Carbon Score; Layer 2 (Management Carbon) scores grazing execution through Carbon Build Momentum, Soil Health Proxy, and Carbon Efficiency Index; Layer 3 (Sequestration Carbon) provides a future pathway for laboratory soil organic carbon integration.
