Abstract
We report the synthesis and characterization of Ag/Au-MnO2 nanoparticles dispersed PVDF nanocomposites having high dielectric properties. The Ag/Au-MnO2 nanoparticles are synthesized by hydrothermal method, and were characterized by XRD, SEM and EDAX spectroscopic techniques. The prepared nanocomposites of Ag-MnO2 nanoparticles and Au-MnO2 nanoparticles dispersed PVDF are characterized using XRD, SEM, TGA, DTA and Electrical properties. The Ag/Au-MnO2 incorporated PVDF nanocomposite shows high dielectric constant, electrical conductivity, and reduction in resistivity when compared to neat PVDF. The high dielectric constant was observed for 3%Ag/MnO2 dispersed PVDF with a value of 3.5 × 10−4 and 2% Au/MnO2 dispersed PVDF showed 1.0 × 10−9 at 1 MHz.
