Abstract

In this paper it has analyzed the structure of installed capacity in the Ukrainian Energy Sectors and presented trends in increasing electricity generation by wind power plants in Europe and Ukraine. Increasing installed capacity of wind power plants can provide new problems, like decreasing power quality. The reliability and efficiency of electrical equipment depends on the quality of electrical energy in distribution networks. For deciding this problem we considered a mathematical model wind power plant and created a model of the power grid with two wind power plants in PSCAD. We analyzed the influence of wind power generation on power quality in the power grid. The key issue of quality assurance energy is the problem of higher harmonics. The problem arose in connection with the widespread introduction of power electronics as the most effective means of providing the required operating modes of electromechanical and electrotechnological complexes. Due to the widespread use of funds power electronics in addition to harmonics generated by ferromagnetic elements, in distribution networks is amplified the influence of harmonics due to the characteristics of the key modes of the rectifiers, inverters, frequency converters, voltage level converters, and other units. We proposed to use diode clamped three-level Inverter.
