Abstract
Lithium Batteries To address the critical issue of thermal abuse in batteries, flame-retardant electrolytes incorporating phosphate and phosphite additives are introduced. This image illustrates how these additives act like fire extinguishers, suppressing combustion within batteries. By replacing conventional flammable electrolytes, such development represents a key strategy in enhancing the intrinsic safety and thermal stability of next-generation battery systems.
