Abstract
• Structural equations are a useful tool to model environment and health pathways. • Multiple stressors (noise, odor, smoke) and physical/emotional health were assessed. • Stress and well-being latent variables were estimated via many observed variables. • Environmental stress responses have a direct effect on physical well-being. • Self-rated health mediated the pathway between physical and emotional well-being.
