Abstract

A novel noncentrosymmetric molybdophosphate, K 2 ZnMoP 2 O 10 with a strong second harmonic generation response and moderate birefringence, is successfully designed and synthesized by introducing nonlinear optically active Zn 2+ and Mo 6+ cations.
