Abstract
An orchestrated reaction of Dy(ClO 4 ) 3 ·6H 2 O with the organic ligand of N ′-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)pyrazine- N -oxide-carbohydrazide (H 2 L) affords a layered building block, denoted as {[Dy(L)(H 2 O)(CH 3 OH)]ClO 4 ·2CH 3 OH} n (1).
