Abstract
The digital transformation opens up a wide range of potentials to design value creation processes more efficiently. However, performing the digital transformation requires far-reaching changes from companies. These changes are not just technical but affect the organization and the employed people equally. In particular, the interactions between technical, organizational and human dimensions represent a breeding ground for risks that could endanger the successful digital transformation and thus should be managed preemptively. Hence, suitable approaches must deal with socio-technical characteristics. In this paper such approaches are identified by means of a comprehensive literature review resulting in research gaps for future research.
