Abstract
In this paper, we propose a 4-unit multi-branch high-isolation wideband MIMO antenna used for the mobile phone of 5G communication, and it consists of 4 identical units located at the four corners of the smartphone. Each unit is composed of 2 U-shaped branches and metallized vias. The antenna uses a multi-branch resonance technology to expand the bandwidth, and applies a reasonable distribution of decoupling branches to improve the isolation. The final design has a return loss of less than −6 dB in the band of 3.3 – 5 GHz, and the isolation is better than 14 dB. The antenna has good omnidirectional radiation and gain, which can fully meet the requirements for mobile phone antennas.
