Recoil momentum effects in quantum processes induced by twisted photons
Andrei Afanasev, Carl E. Carlson, Asmita Mukherjee
Abstract
The authors demonstrate that quantum vortex states of light and photons show transverse recoil momentum to the final state that exceeds a longitudinal momentum defined by photon's wave number, when absorbed by well localized quantum systems in sub-wavelength proximity from the phase singularity.
