Abstract

The photoluminescence of Ti<sup>4+</sup> and Eu<sup>3+</sup> in monoclinic ZrO<sub>2</sub> was demonstrated for optical thermometry through energy transfer from titanium–oxygen complexes to Eu<sup>3+</sup>.
