Abstract

Solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind generation with biomass as the stand-alone system can be utilized to supply the electricity for the small commercial loads such as rice mill. Therefore, this chapter presents the prefeasibility analysis of rice mill by designing an off-grid hybrid system using renewable sources like solar PV, wind turbine, and biomass, which is situated in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. A techno-monetary investigation has been completed for executing a PV–biomass off-grid hybrid system in rice plants with a perspective of enhancing the framework of renewable portion and declining further expense of energy for such sort of frameworks.
