Abstract

Programmable Metamaterials The study of the ancient paper art kirigami based materials mainly focuses on the form of 2D thin sheets. In article number 2105641, Jie Yin and co-workers report extending conventional 2D kirigami to 3D modular kirigami to construct programmable architected materials. The 3D kirigami module can transform into versatile configurations and their conformable modular assembly creates multidimensional disassembalable metamaterials with programmable properties.
