Effects of Electric Vehicles on Power Networks
Lucian Ioan Dulău, Dorin Bică
Abstract
In this paper are presented the main effects of the connection of electric vehicles to the power grid. These effects include increase of the short-circuit currents, the voltage level could no longer be between the standard limits, the power demand is higher and the lifespan of the equipment is affected. The case study is performed on the 13 bus system. In the case study it is analyzed the impact regarding the voltage level, power demand and active power losses for different penetration levels and power demand scenarios of the electric vehicles.
