Abstract

Giant enhancement of optical response of the luminescent pressure sensor SrB<sub>4</sub>O<sub>7</sub>:Sm<sup>2+</sup>, co-doped with Eu<sup>2+</sup>, caused by effective Eu<sup>2+</sup> → Sm<sup>2+</sup> energy transfer.
