Abstract
Previous research on microbial temperature adaptation has focused primarily on functional genes, with little attention paid to posttranscriptional regulation. Small RNAs, the major posttranscriptional modulators of gene expression, are greatly underexplored, especially in nonpathogenic and nonmodel microorganisms.
